Old Age Starts At 27

This is sort of depressing. Researchers have determined that old age starts at 27. That means that I’m an old man and just getting older. In all seriousness though, I’m inclined to believe that the study is a bit flawed as the changes in the cognitive tests that were done seem to correlate with transitioning social roles. In particular, as people become more and more specialized in their careers (which seems to happen in late 20′s early 30′s) other regions of their brains are sure to regress a bit. If people were still getting broad based educations in their late 20′s and early 30′s I suspect the results of this test would be different.
