PopCrunch asked the question Is Jon Gosselin Engaged To Hailey Glassman? Here’s the answer: Yes.
Damn that guy either wanted a gold digger or doesn’t know one when he see her.
Michael Jackson’s death and funeral has turned into one of the biggest media events of all time. I’m not sure what to make of it. I just watched the movie The Unbearable Lightness of Being and the ideas presented in that movie are reflected in Michael Jackson’s life. The balance between the lightness of life and the heaviness of life and how it’s never clear how much weight to give any single event of life experience, or life itself. Michael Jackson was a great entertainer but also a child molester. He sold more records than anyone in history and yet he was miserable.
And what about the world’s reaction? The frenzy. Should we take it as a spectacle to be enjoyed and appreciated or should we be morally appalled that a single individual’s death is being consumed by media vultures?
My reaction to things like this is to usually just soak in the spectacle, because moral outrage does no good. So, I will indeed be interested to see if Michael Jackson’s Funeral will break live online video records or not.
I’m literally stunned. Michael Jackson has died. RIP Michael. God bless you. I hope you are in a better place now.
There are rumors that Michael’s death was partially the result of an addiction to prescription drugs. I hope that he did not die a lonely man, without hope.
Sometimes women drive me crazy with some of the ridiculous stuff they decide to do. For example: Girls carrying tiny dogs around in their handbags. What’s up with that? Two things I hate: small dogs and handbags. Really, the only way I can cope with things like this is to hope deep down inside that the dog leaves a tiny surprise in the handbag.
Who would have thought that computers can create art? But it is true. Computer generated art has been around for a while and can take the form of anything from a random abstract images to hacked hardware making music. I didn’t really know much about this, but it’s pretty cool stuff.
I really digg the whole Steampunk thing. It’s this functional art meets vintage with attitude vibe. Just really cool stuff. Check out these awesome Steampunk vehicles to see what I’m talking about.
I actually don’t use a cell phone more than twice a month. Cell phones limit my sense of freedom and so I only take calls when I am seated in my office, and in that case I don’t need a cell phone… Skype is sufficient.
Part of me feels a little self-righteous because I hear all these theories that cell phones might cause cancer and all. So I feel pretty safe. But it sure would be a shame if the 80% of the population (or so) that uses cell phones ended up with negative health effects. Hopefully it will turn out that cell phones are innocuous pieces of technology. But, if you are looking for some tips on how to protect yourself, check out this article called: 10 Ways to Limit Health Risk from Cell Phones
The credit crisis has been crunching companies and running up the unemployment figures in countries around the world. Just take a look at this list of huge layoffs to see for yourself.
First things first. The link in this post is going to be NSFW. Totally NSFW. Please do not click unless you are prepared for nudity. Now that that is out of the way, let me just say that I feel bad for this girl Rihanna. First she gets beat by her boyfriend. Then she lets him back into her life (stupid, stupid). And now nude pictures of Rihanna are plastered all over the Internet. Unless she is doing this for publicity, and I doubt it, let’s just say that Rihanna will wish that 2009 never happened.
Wow. I just checked out the District 9 Trailer and now I’m totally psyched to see it.
Now this idea could really change the world. Imagine being able to monitor your own health by using your cell phone? No need to imagine. It’s going to happen: 5 Innovative Ways Cell Phones Are Being Used To Save Lives
For me though the ultimate will be some kind of self-detection system for early stages of cancer. I hate that our current method of cancer detection is to wait until it basically shows outward symptoms. Would be great to catch it early.
If you’re like most people, you probably wonder if there’s ever going to be a cure for cancer? Check out this great explanation from a graduate biology student explaining why there will probably never be a single cure for cancer.
In this economic downturn, people are looking for ways to save money on just about everything. We don’t spend as much in the shops, we save more
money than before to make up for rampant spending, we travel less and when people do travel they spend less on flights and accommodation. Even our phone calls are feeling the crunch: we call less often, use Skype-to-Skype more and when overseas email will do. Well, that’s what I thought until I spotted this list of reasons to rent a BlackBerry Storm. Email, built-in mapping, GPS, 3G and GSM all come in very handy when you’re in a foreign country.
Here’s something for your coffee break. Deputy Dog has an interesting story about an abandoned rooftop rollercoaster in central Tokyo. Looks like the coaster is ready to go, but opposition from local residents in one of the world’s most densely populated cities combined with unforeseen lateral forces closed it down before it ever opened. Still, it looks pretty cool even if it does look like a half-complete Stargate.
When you spend 8 hour days at a desk, it doesn’t take long to get thoroughly bored with your surroundings. Especially if those surrounding are a typical office cubicle in a typical bland office building. It’s even worse when you consider their jumbo-sized carbon footprint. But there is a new breed of office block with more green credentials than you can shake a rather large stick at. These green office blocks show just what can be achieved when architecture meets sustainability, breaking free from the characterless and insipid working environments of the past.
LMAO. You have to watch this freakin’ video. Just hilarious. Jones Good Ass BBQ & Foot Massage
I have a lot of respect for atheists, even though if pressed I’d probably say that I’m a theist (a deep seated intuition that I can’t shake even when I want to). Anyway, in my view, there are a lot of good reasons for being someone who believes that there are no gods. I think there are some good reasons for believing that there is at least one god too. The main point is that I respect the atheistic viewpoint, and just as importantly, I have a deep respect for many atheists such as the ones on this list:
The 50 Most Brilliant Atheists of All Time
I think I would have liked this article better if it had been titled something like “10 Hottest Bikini Removal Scenes” but still, it’s not bad and many of these scenes were already etched in my memory: The 10 Hottest Bikini Movie Moments Of All Time
