It resonated with me deeply. The adventure. The tight connection between imagination and reality. Even the ode to childhood angst that you don’t get much in children’s books.

I’ve got bittersweet excitement about the upcoming Where The Wild Things Are movie. On the one hand, I’m excited at the potential. On the other, I’m cynical about the possibility of failure and tainting my favorite childhood book.

Regardless, I’m going to celebrate by wearing my long-cherished Where The Wild Things Are t-shirt.

This collection of fun, but very crazy books made me laugh. I particularly liked the one on how to start your own country. I mean, who doesn’t want to do that!
